I want to go to New Zealand. And I saw a picture of Tahiti this morning that made me want to start clicking on airline websites. That picture of Croatia is kind of having the same effect on me. :)
ReplyDeleteOh oh...I'm already longing for a vacation and this made it much worse! Lovely pics tho :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea Croatia was so beautiful! What wonderful places you've been. I've been to France, Mexico, and Canada (which doesn't really count, because it's almost the same as America). And Hawaii, which isn't a foreign country but feels like one.
ReplyDeleteHi :)
ReplyDeleteI've visited a few of these --- I'd like to see the ones I haven't though :) I'd add Peru (the Nazca Lines) and I've always wanted to see Mt Kilimanjaro. I'm enjoying a Colorado Rockies spring at the moment --- it's snowing :)
Although I am not a real traveller, I have already visited two places from your top 10: Croatia (holiday) and Thailand (conference). Both were nice, but very different from one another, of course!
ReplyDelete@L.G.: oh yes, New Zealand. Definitely top 15 :-)
ReplyDelete@Karen: Greece & Turkey in the fall, should be wonderful :-)
@damyanti: So it worked! =) *evil laughter*
@Shelli: I haven't been there yet, but I really want to go. I've heard Croatia is amazing: its landscapes, coasts and cities.
@Julia: yes, Peru, another top 15, definitely! Have fun in Colorado & see you soon! :-)
@Lieve: I remember seeing the pictures from Thailand. You haven't shown me the Croatia ones yet, though! :-)
Sadly, I haven't been to any of these places, but my husband has been to Australia and wants to take me with him someday (he goes there regularly for work). There's so much to see in Australia that it seems like you'd have to spend several weeks there to see it all, or go on several different trips. The picture of Croatia took me by surprise; I'd never thought of it as a vacation destination, but it looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of the A to Z Challenge!
@Shannon: I agree, Australia would take many trips to see even a small part of it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on Croatia as well: it never sounded like a holiday destination, until I started reading about it and looking at photos, and it seems wonderful, with gorgeous cities and beautiful nature reserves.
I've never been to any of those places. I have been to Venice and that's well worth a visit... but then so is Scotland.
ReplyDeleteVenice is beautiful indeed. I've only seen a small part of Scotland, but I definitely want to go back. I'd love to take a proper tour through the Highlands!
ReplyDeleteDoes it count if you've flown over them? Of course, visiting Seychelles shouldn't take long... My traveling days are over, I'm afrain -- at least, to exotic places. I'll have to visit them in books and look to the writer to draw me in... but I loved the pictures and hope you get to follow your dreams and cross them off the list.
ReplyDeleteHello, fellow A-Z Challenger! Here's my latest entry. Come visit either of my blogs when you can and leave some comment love:

I'm not going to offer any suggestions, because you have quite a list already. I'm wondering, though, have you made plans for one of those yet? There's no time like the present! My neighbor did a cruise and stopped in Croatia and absolutely loved it. I hope you get to one on your list within the next year.
ReplyDelete@Sharlene: I would like to set foot on land, at least, before I'd count them. =)
ReplyDelete@Suzanne: that's actually a great point. I'm travelling less at the moment than I used to, because so much of my focus is on my novel, and I prefer to take writing sabbaticals rather than go travelling - at least for a while.
So I doubt I'll get to visit any of those this year, but we're looking at Australia for next year (either that or Canada, which is number 11 on my list ;-) )
